Sabahat Bokhari, MD is an Associate Professor of Medicine-Cardiology at Columbia University Medical Center/New york Presbyterian Hospital, College of Physicians and Surgeons, Columbia University in New York. Dr. Bokhari is an academic cardiologist with a clinical and research focus on cardiovascular imaging. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease and Nuclear Cardiology. He has a broad background knowledge in cardiovascular imaging, with specific training and expertise in nuclear cardiology. He has developed effective new SPECT and PET imaging techniques. His research focuses on clinical nuclear cardiovascular imaging, including CT and PET imaging. He has been a principal or co-investigator on several industry and NIH funded grants. Dr. Bokhari has been involved in multiple Phase II, III and IV clinical trials, studying new cardiac stress agents, new SPECT/PET radioisotopes, plaque imaging, cardiac amyloidosis imaging, cardiac sarcoidosis imaging, myocarditis imaging and developing software for quantification of coronary flow reserve software.
