Overview

Dr. Sameer Singh is an attending surgeon in the Section of Adult Cardiac Surgery at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center. He is board eligible in cardiac and thoracic surgery through the American Board of Thoracic Surgery.

Dr. Singh specializes in the surgical treatment of advanced heart failure, heart transplantation, and mechanical circulatory support, including left ventricular assist device (LVAD) implantation. He also performs coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) and has received specialized training in minimally invasive and robotic cardiac surgery, with particular expertise in robotic coronary revascularization and mitral valve surgery.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Singh is actively involved in cardiac surgery research. His academic interests span the breadth of adult cardiac surgery, and he has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications in leading medical journals as well as chapters in textbooks on cardiac surgery and heart disease.

Dr. Singh earned his medical degree through the Honors Program in Medical Education from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and completed his integrated cardiothoracic surgery residency at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center.
