Columbia Faculty at TCT 2026
Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics (TCT) 2026 will take place from Saturday, October 31 - Tuesday, November 3 in San Diego, CA, bringing together international leaders in interventional cardiovascular medicine to share the latest breakthroughs, clinical research, and procedural innovations.
Columbia’s cardiology faculty will once again play a core role at this year’s meeting: presenting late-breaking clinical trials, hosting live cases, and showcasing their leadership in transformative cardiovascular research.
Key Late-Breaking Clinical Trials and Science
- Tricuspid Regurgitation Community Outcomes Study: Dr. Rebecca Hahn will present findings from a massive real-world community cohort of 180,977 patients, providing insights into the natural progression and long-term health risks associated with a leaky tricuspid heart valve (tricuspid regurgitation). (Sunday, November 1 | 2:15 PM | In collaboration with Circulation)
- The JENA-VAD Study: Dr. Torsten Vahl will present 30-day registry outcomes demonstrating that using a tiny, non-surgical catheter valve to fix a leaky aortic heart valve is highly safe and effective for fragile heart failure patients living on mechanical heart pumps. (Tuesday, November 3 | 12:56 PM | In collaboration with JAMA)
Awards & Notable Milestones
- Geoffrey O. Hartzler Master Operator Award: Dr. Rebecca Hahn will receive this elite distinction, making her the first imaging specialist ever to earn the honor for her profound impact on using advanced imaging to guide complex heart interventions.
- Cardiovascular Nurse and Technologist Symposium: Columbia and NewYork-Presbyterian nurses, APPs, and faculty will present crucial updates on operational hospital solutions and interactive clinical problem-solving on the cath lab floor.
